Harrell and his band at The Mather in Ishpeming on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 7:00pm. Blues Society Board Member Mark Hamari spoke about the show with Mark & Walt in the Morning. (AUDIO) Hamari said Harrell is one of the most formidable young stars on the current blues scene, and the 27-year-old’s new album, “Talkin’ Heavy” on Alligator Records, is nominated for Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Blues Album and Harrell is nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Artist in the 2026 Blues Music Awards by the Blues Foundation. The show kicks off at 7:30pm with a special set from the Flat Broke Blues Band, followed by Harrell and his five-piece band for an unforgettable night of music.
